Prayers

Invitations to Pray:

“Come! Let us raise a joyful song to the Lord, A shout of triumph to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come into God’s presence with thanksgiving, And sing God’s psalms of triumph.” Psalm 95

“Come to me, all you who are weary and find life burdensome, and I will refresh you.” Matthew 11:28

“Come with me, by yourselves, to some lonely place where you can rest quietly.” Mark 6:31

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O virgin of virgins, my mother.
To thee I come;
before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions;
but in thy clemency, hear and answer me. Amen.

The Road Ahead

My Lord God,
I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself,
and the fact that I think I am following your will
does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you
does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this,
you will lead me by the right road though I may not know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost
and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear, for you are ever with me,
and you will not leave me to face my perils alone.
